Two John Marshalls

I’ve only just begun and I already have a “lost episode!” This one was supposed to be in the 100th episode of PSN but…

Two of my clients have the same name and couldn’t be more different.

The John Marshall Family:

Unfortunately, the other John Marshall’s band, it seems, no longer has a web site. You’ll probably see a message saying it’s temporarily disabled but, for what it’s worth:

Hi, I came over from Geo’s podcast and so far I’m pretty impressed with yours. After hearing gushing words about you for so long it’s nice to finally hear your side of life.

I’ll freely admit that I know next to nothing about the production side of music, but even so it’s interesting listening to a professional talk about his passion so entertainingly. People who love their work and do it so well can oftentimes delve into incomprehensibility, but so far you have been quite accessible and engaging. I look forward to many years of entertainment to come, and (Who knows?) maybe I’ll even learn a few things.

Wow, thanks for the comments — and believe me, I’ll get incomprehensivle at some point. :) Thing is, I’ve gotta balance the people stories with the gear stories and get really geeky for all the audio freaks. OH well, you can always delete the ones that don’t float your boat. Cheers!

Nice contrast, and good lessons about working with people. I guess it just goes to show that if you do good work, people will overlook most anything. :D

Seriously, I’ve been in a similar situation with my Computer Consulting business, and it’s always surprising what becomes a deal-breaker for people.

And yes, those girls can sing!

    Hey Tim,

Yeah, personalities and ideologies can be so vastly different in the studio. I suppose we all concentrate on the task at hand – making music. As long as we stay focused, we can all coexist happlily ;)

Glad you’re enjoying the podcast so far!
